The Coca-Cola Scholars Program is one of the most prestigious merit-based scholarships in the United States. Administered by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, the programme recognises graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to creating positive change in their schools and communities.

Established in 1986, the Foundation has awarded more than US$90 million in scholarships to over 7,200 Coca-Cola Scholars. Each year, 150 students are selected from a highly competitive applicant pool to receive a US$20,000 scholarship to support their undergraduate studies at an accredited U.S. college or university.

Unlike many scholarship programmes, the Coca-Cola Scholars Program is achievement-based rather than need-based. Applicants are evaluated on their leadership, academic performance, service to others, and demonstrated ability to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Financial need is not considered during the selection process.

The selection process consists of four phases:

• Phase 1: Online application (no essays, transcripts, or recommendations required).
• Phase 2: Approximately 1% of applicants become Semifinalists and submit essays, transcripts, and one recommendation.
• Phase 3: Around 250 Regional Finalists participate in interviews.

Who Can Apply?

According to the official eligibility requirements, applicants must:

• Be currently enrolled high school or home-schooled students graduating during the 2026–2027 academic year.
• Attend school in one of the 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or eligible Department of Defense schools.
• Be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident, Refugee, Asylee, Cuban-Haitian Entrant, or Humanitarian Parolee eligible under U.S. federal student aid guidelines.
• Plan to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution.
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA (B average).
