Applications are now open for the 24th Informal ASEM Seminar on Human Rights (ASEMHRS24) 2026, a fully funded international programme that will take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from 12–14 October 2026.
Organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) in partnership with the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia and Mongolia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the seminar will bring together government officials, human rights experts, civil society representatives, academics, researchers and international organisations from across Asia and Europe.

The Informal ASEM Seminar on Human Rights is one of ASEF’s longest-running governance programmes, promoting dialogue between Asia and Europe since 1997.
The 2026 edition will focus on how human rights systems can respond effectively to today’s global challenges, including technological change, climate pressures, geopolitical shifts and evolving governance structures.
